Welcome to Joey Zaza’s, where our small but mighty team brings you the best New York–style sandwiches and specialty coffee in the heart of Perth City. We may work in a cosy space, but we pack a serious punch with boss sangas, smooth coffee, and good vibes.
Meet the legends behind the counter who make Joey Zaza’s a favourite for regulars and first-timers alike.
Jess (Yuvatida) – Café Manager
Jess has been part of Joey Zaza’s since 2022 and now leads the team as our Café Manager. If you’ve been in store, you’ve definitely seen her running the show — keeping the coffee flowing, the sangas stacked, and the team humming.
She knows all things Joey Zaza’s and is the friendly face you’ll see most often (and probably hear too — her laugh is contagious). Jess keeps standards high and the energy even higher, making sure every customer experience hits the mark.
When she’s not managing the café, she’s either hiking a new trail or planning her next overseas adventure. If you’ve got travel recommendations or a bucket list destination, she’s your person.
Dilraj – Front of House Team Leader
Dilraj leads our front-of-house team, making sure service runs smoothly and every customer feels looked after. She keeps the floor organised, the team aligned, and the vibe welcoming — even during the lunchtime rush.
If things feel seamless when you visit, that’s Dilraj working her magic behind the scenes.
Georgina (AKA G or Geo) – Barista
Georgina has been our go-to barista since 2023. A self-confessed introvert, she might not say much — but she’ll hand you your daily coffee with a warm smile and perfect consistency every time. And if you’re lucky? You might score a little bear latte art moment.
When she’s not behind the machine, she’s out shopping for her next wardrobe addition and keeping her style game strong.
Thuy – Chef
Thuy is our kitchen queen, leading the charge on food quality and keeping our sandwiches tasting boss-level good. From prep to service, she makes sure everything that leaves the kitchen hits our standards.
She’s known for loving her sleep and rocking funky socks in the kitchen — a true personality combo we rate highly.
Tomoka – Front of House
Tomoka brings warmth and care to every shift. Whether she’s taking your order, helping with catering prep, or making sure your lunch break runs smoothly, she’s all about great customer service with a calm, friendly presence.
Ruby – Kitchen Hand / Junior All-Rounder
Ruby supports both the kitchen and front of house as our junior all-rounder. From prep to keeping things spotless and jumping in wherever needed, she’s an important part of keeping the daily flow moving.
